This is a story about my journey of resilience, from being a 6-year-old little girl growing up on a farm, to working overseas in developing countries in the Caribbean, Africa and the Indian Ocean, personal tragedy, and a determined focus to bring my learnings of resilience to the world stage. I’m now a seasoned global leader with a distinguished 34-year journey as a founder, director, entrepreneur, strategist, and executive coach, recognized for empowering CEOs and global leaders across diverse industries and nations to build exceptional resilience, navigate rapidly changing business landscapes, and develop innovative, purpose-driven solutions to pressing global challenges. I’m excited to be at TEDxAUP! It’s not only what qualifies me to discuss resilience, but also why now, and why AUP. Sometimes locations are dear to your heart. Mine happens to be Paris. My PhD – the only one in the world so far – is on strategic resilience. All of my research and writing was done in Paris, in a beautiful flat in Passy in the 16th where I spent two years transforming my own life after personal tragedy. This is a celebration and coming full circle for me in Paris, and it’s my greatest hope to inspire people to use resilience as a spark to ignite the world to a better future.
